Stillness in Color

This piece was made on hand-stained custom blueprint paper to add depth and texture. The architectural layout and layered blues convey calm and contemplation. The spotlight effect was created by shining a flashlight through a paper cutout, emphasizing the figure’s isolation and clarity within a structured, light-defined space.

Lighting in this space creates mood through color and contrast. The warm tones bring energy and focus, while the cool lights add calmness and clarity. Together they shape the atmosphere, making the structure feel alive and emotionally connected to its surroundings.
Growth of Hope
Growth of Hope - I made this piece to show how light can bring hope even in dark moments. The girl uses a flashlight to help the plant grow, which represents care and persistence. Even though she only has a small light, it’s enough to make a difference. The blue tones show calmness and loneliness, but also peace and strength. This artwork is about finding your own light when things feel uncertain. It shows that growth can happen anywhere as long as there is effort and hope.
Space Needle from Observation
I made this sketch to practice observing real architecture and capturing it through line and form. The Space Needle has always stood out to me for its unique structure, and I wanted to study how its shape interacts with the city around it. By sketching it, I learned how light, proportion, and perspective can change the feeling of a building. This drawing helped me slow down and notice details I might usually overlook. It reminded me that even quick, rough lines can show movement and atmosphere. I made it to understand how architecture tells a story about a place and the people who live there.
Seattle Pop Culture Museum
I made this piece to study the unique shapes and materials of the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle. I wanted to understand how color, texture, and form interact to create movement in architecture. By combining sketching with digital rendering, I learned how small details and material choices can change the feeling of a building.
